Biography

Helena del Pilar grew up in the home of Moisés Lorenzo Campo Loaiza, who was one the pioneers of radio in the Department of La Guajira Colombiana. In her early years Helena was moved by Moises Lorenzo Campo Loaiza's passion for MUSIC! This inspiration drove Helena to win many song competitions including El Cactus de oro, Festival of Youth Performers, Looking for Stars and others.

In 1999 Helena traveled to Aruba where she sang in the Papiamento language. The songs "Decepshon" and "Semper Lo Mi Keda Di-Bo-Só"; which she included in her first album Helena Del Pilar - "With the Soul in the Skin" (Con El Alma En La Piel).

In 2001 Helena published a new album that was called "Lia Muñiz HACIA TI". Then, in 2009 Helena released an album with 13 songs that began to show more about who she was as a singer. These songs were not only well received by the Colombian national media, but also abroad. It was the album MI SUEÑO that showed a new facet of Helena Del Pilar as Composer: mixing and merging traditional genres with Pop and Rock. Later, in 2013, she published the single "Un Dia Sin Ti". This is the song that gave Helena her own identity as a singer and composer to her many fans around the world. In 2018, she recorded and released the song and a video in English to rave reviews!

Christmas is Helena's favorite time of the year, so she decided to publish a song that she composed for the holiday: "Llegó Navidad" (Christmas is Here) in 2015. It is a song with a Christmas spirit, sung in a Pop/Rock style for which Helena Del Pilar is known worldwide.

As a lover of the cultures of the world, in 2016 Helena decided to pay homage to several countries, including: Mexico, Brazil, United Kingdom, United States and Colombia. As a tribute, Helena made these songs available as free downloads in her profile on ReverbNation. Helena has more tributes planned in future!

In 2016, Helena also conquered the hearts of all her fans and friends by recording her version of the "Birthday Song". It is her gift to all as a free download on her profile on the ReverbNation website.

In May of 2017 Helena published the critically acclaimed album "Hace Tiempo", with 11 of her original songs.

The following year, In 2018, Helena published two singles. The first, "A Day That You Are Not With Me", is the English adaptation of the song "Un Día Sin Ti". This new version recorded at Studios of HdP Productions in Bogotá Colombia. It expresses what a woman in love feels in the course of a day, waiting for the return of her beloved! It allows her English speaking fans to feel the passion of Helena Del Pilar. The second single, "Amor De Tres" (Love of Three) mixes Pop and Ranchera. Helena's emotional singing style is in full display in this song of heartbreak. This song is the result of her first visit to the Country of Mexico.

Also that year, Helena began a media tour to the countries where her music is gaining more fans daily. She has traveled to Mexico, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Aruba and the United States. Helena has more tours planned in future.

Helana's view and mission: "I am a humble woman, I live my life with total intensity, I enjoy every day and I take advantage of the maximum, until I see the night fall. As tireless and proactive woman by nature, day by day I exhaust every minute in singing and composing. I live in the search to give a better answers to my followers. And, to achieve it I work constantly to generate new ideas that allow me to conquer more hearts. I am warm, sincere, and I adore life and other human beings. Undeniably I am a Warrior Woman (I do a thousand things at a time), very honest and spiritual in each step I take. I know what I want and I go for it!!!

I am worried about everything that is happening in the world today.In every opportunity I have, I promote human values, respect and love for our children and the elderly. I believe in the humanity and in the capacity we have to be able to change the world. Only together can we make it a better one."

In addition, in parallel Helena launched a purpose "Una Voz Al Cielo" (A Voice To Heaven'). From, or better: within the purpose Una Voz Al Cielo the following songs had been launched “Muevete en Mi”, “Padre Nuestro”, “Aquí Estoy Señor” and “En Nadie Más Que En Él”, also a version in English: "Only In Him".

Latest releases have been: a new tribute, to Spain, “Cartas Amarillas” in 2020. Then followed "Y Después" to France and "En Mi Viejo San Juan" to Puerto Rico. “Y Después” reached phenomenal scores in the United States Charts: Miami #1, Florida #1, United States #10 and global #11!

Helena’s discography completes with the song “Esperanza”. It’s been delivered to the circumstance in which many people find themselves. It is what all of us need; the song helps in this. Spring last year, 2022 “A Day That You Are Not With Me”- Acoustic came out, followed by “Yo Vivo Por Mi”. Dedicated to Christmas 2022 “O Holy Night” had been released, again a song in English!
